Join in on the fun of the annual Somerset Rail Trail Fun Run and get to experience a section of what is soon to be Australia’s longest recreational rail trail.
The event, now in its sixteenth year is held along the iconic Brisbane Valley Rail Trail between Lowood and Fernvale and this year, for those entering the 25km bike leg, encompasses a trip to Wanora.
The event is on Sunday, 8 July and includes three main events: an 8km run/walk, a 3km run/walk and a 25km bike ride. All events finish at Fernvale Sports Park (Brouff Road) with a free post-race festival.
Registrations (across all events) cost $35 for adults (over 17), $15 for individuals aged 16 and under and a family registration (two adults and up to three children) costs $80.
The fun run, organised by Somerset Regional Council and sponsored by Bendigo Bank – Lowood and Fernvale Community Bank Branch is a popular social event on the fun run calendar.
Celebrate your achievements at a free post-race festival at the Fernvale Sports Park between 9am and midday.
