Council promoted the Somerset region at the 50th Anniversary of the Queensland Caravan, Camping and Touring Supershow at the Brisbane Showgrounds in the first week of June.
This was an excellent opportunity to promote Somerset and our tourism attractions. More than 43,000 people visited the show and over 3100 Somerset promotional bags and visitor guides were distributed.
The win a Somerset Experience was a success with 669 entries received and the two lucky winners were notified on Thursday, 14 June. A huge thanks to Skydive Ramblers,
Somerset Fishing, Esk Caravan Park, Cormorant Bay Café and Neurum Creek Bush Retreat who donated prizes. The discount offers from Esk Caravan Park, Skydive Ramblers, Cormorant Bay Café and Esk Grand Hotel were also a hit with visitors with more than 1000 distributed.
Earlier this year Council extended an offer to Somerset operators to promote their businesses at the Experience Somerset tourism stand. Thanks to Esk Caravan Park and Out There Cycling who took up this offer.
This is great opportunity for you as a tourism business to get your name out there for free! Look out for upcoming opportunities like this in your inbox.
