Old Church Gallery Moore

Art, Atmosphere and Café Cuisine at the Old Church Gallery Moore The Old Church Gallery Moore, is the latest addition to the increasingly popular and emerging gallery scene in the Somerset Region of South East Queensland. Nestled in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range a little over an hour and a half from Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba, this privately owned and operated gallery and cafe features paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, handmade jewellery, beautifully crafted woodwork and much more. Gallery owners, and artists in residence David Mackenzie and Deborah Johnston-Booker are delighted to invite art enthusiasts, locals, travellers and Brisbane Valley Rail Trail users to experience art and atmosphere at their gallery and café. Originally build in the early 20th century the church has been resurrected into a beautiful contemporary art space while retaining a peaceful and calming energy. The original timber floor remains, offset by expansive white walls and key lighting to professionally show case artists’ works. The Old Church Gallery Moore is also the home of Mackenzie Fabrics, a unique textile collection featuring prints from the Australian bush on fabrics suitable for upholstery, cushions, lampshades, curtains, sheers, scarves and lots of other uses. Enjoy homemade lunches on the covered deck or in the shade of the sculpture garden, with a selection of cold meats, pickles or chutneys, local cheeses, fresh salads, homemade cakes, scones, biscuits, fresh fruit juices, premium quality Elmstock traditional or herbal leaf teas or Fonzie Abbott plunger coffee made to your liking. Reservations are recommended. The Old Church Gallery Moore offers Gift Certificates redeemable in the gallery or the cafe and the venue is available for private functions by request. Looking forward to meeting you and making new friends.
