Soak up the sunshine at Logan Inlet day use area this winter.
This location is the perfect place for the whole family as far as location goes. You can pack a picnic, enjoy some fishing, a swim, or camp at one of the adjacent camp grounds for a longer stay.
HOW TO GET THERE
Lake Wivenhoe is located at the southern end of the Somerset region. Turn off the Brisbane Valley Highway onto Hay Road, then left onto Logan Inlet Road. Logan Inlet day use area is located at the end of Logan Inlet Road.
Toilets, barbecues, under cover picnic tables, playground, swimming enclosure and a boat ramp are on site. You will also find plenty of shady trees and parking available.
Be on the lookout for koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, pelicans, seagulls, kites, eagles, galahs, fish, turtles and other wildlife.
Sunrise and sunset are a stunning sight at Logan Inlet day use area, Lake Wivenhoe.
Lake Wivenhoe is managed by Seqwater. Please abide by the rules when you are swimming at the lakes.
- Wear a pfd (personal flotation device) and stay within the designated swimming enclosure
- Bring sun block and a hat
- Aqua shoes come in handy for delicate feet
- Bring a gazebo if you are setting up close to the waters’ edge
- Dogs/pets are not permitted in this area, please leave them at home
Lake Wivenhoe is open seven days at the following times:
6.30am to 5.30pm May to August
5.30am to 6.30pm September to April
CARAVANNING AND CAMPING
Captain Logan camp ground and Lumley Hill camp ground are adjacent to this area should you prefer a longer stay.
