G'day
Welcome to Somerset. We’re a large region of lakes and landscapes, in fact we’ve got 5,382km2 of prime Queensland country for you to explore.
Home to Australia’s longest recreational rail trail, the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, there’s an epic 161km stretch of quality track just waiting for you to cycle, hike or horse-ride. Our lakes are second to none and the perfect spot to take a dip, drop in a line or boat your troubles away. Our little country towns are the heartbeat of our region. We are proud of our local businesses, big and small, and the hardworking families, farmers, and folk behind them.
Here in Somerset, we love a generous serve of home cooked tucker. That’s why our local cafes and pubs serve up the goods, packed with farm fresh flavours. What’s more, with superior caravan parks with pizazz, free RV rest areas, bushland camping escapes, and a range of accommodation styles available, there’s always plenty of room to stay when you visit.
All in all, we think Somerset is a pretty top spot, but don’t just take it from us, come and Experience Somerset for yourself.
